SEASON: WILL HAVE TWO HALVES. TOP 2 TEAMS EACH HALF WILL BE IN PLAYOFFS FOR TEAM CHAMPS.

PLAYOFFS: SEMI-FINALS > NINE HOLE PLAYOFF: TOP TEAM OF FIRST HALF VS. SECOND TEAM OF

SECOND HALF; AND TOP TEAM OF SECOND HALF VS. SECOND TEAM OF FIRST HALF.

FINALS > NINE HOLE PLAYOFF BETWEEN WINNERS OF SEMI-FINAL (1ST AND 2ND PLACE)

AND LOSER OF SEMI-FINALS (3RD AND 4TH PLACE)

INDIVIDUAL FLIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS: WILL INCLUDE ALL PLAYERS IN 2 PLAYOFF WEEKS TO DECIDE TOP PLACE FINISHERS IN EACH “FLIGHT”.

“SPECIAL EVENTS”: 2 CLUB TOURNEY > BETWEEN HALFS, ALL PLAYERS PLAY USING ONLY 2 CLUBS,ONE OF WHICH MUST BE A PUTTER.

FIELD DAY > AFTER SEASON ENDS, ALL TEAM PLAYERS COMPETE FOR SPECIAL PRIZES.

“NEWS FLASH”: FIRST PLAYER TO GET A “HOLE IN ONE” ON ANY HOLE WILL RECEIVE $50.00

THERE WILL BE ONLY ONE AWARD AND CARD MUST BE “ATTESTED”!!

“COOK-OUTS”: (4) WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON CARDS TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE.

“PUTTING CONTEST” WILL BE HELD ON EACH “COOK-OUT” NIGHT FOR PRIZE..

BANQUET: THERE WILL BE ONE “AWARDS BANQUET” AFTER END OF SEASON.

AWARDS: THE FOLLOWING CASH AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE BANQUET.

TEAM AWARDS: EACH MEMBER OF 1ST ,2ND ,3RD ,AND 4TH PLACE TEAM RECEIVES CASH.

LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP: WINNER OF EACH “FLIGHT” > CASH.

FIELD DAY: WINNERS EACH “FLIGHT”, “CLOSEST TO PIN”, “PUTTING CONTEST” > CASH.

MOST IMPROVED : “ACTUAL AVERAGE”, EACH “FLIGHT” > CASH.

MATCHES ARE PLAYED MONDAY’S (9:00 AM-4:30 PM) AT EDGEWOOD GOLF COURSE, UXBRIDGE, MASS. LEAGUE STARTS APRIL 24TH.

START TIME:                  9:00 - MUST HAVE SCORECARD BEFORE STARTING!!

START HOLES:              ALL MATCHES START ON HOLE #1 OR #4 OR #5 . NO MATCH STARTS ON HOLE #3.

PREFERRED LIES”:    FAIRWAY ONLY! MAY MOVE TO “CUT GRASS AREA” NO CLOSER TO PIN (NO PENALTY).

NO PREFERRED LIES ARE TO BE USED IN “ROUGH” OR UNCUT AREAS > PLAY AS LIESOR

                                          MOVE AS UNPLAYABLE LIEWITH (1) STROKE PENALTY. 

 OUT OF BOUNDS” :  TO CONSERVE TIME, RED STATE RULE WILL APPLY FOR OUT OF BOUNDS SHOTS.

SPECIAL RULES” FOR HOLE #4: 

                   A,B,C FLIGHTS > MUST HIT FROM MEN’S TEE, IF HIT INTO WATER HAZARD, TEE AGAIN HITTING (3). 

                   AFTER TWO TRIES PLAY FROM DROP  AREA NEAR LADIES TEE HITTING 

                    "D” FLIGHT ONLY > OPTION OF USING MEN’S TEE, OR LADIES TEE HITTING (2). IF FIRST TRY FROM

                     MEN’S TEE LANDS IN WATER, MAY GO TO DROP AREA AND HIT (3).

                  BOTH PLAYERS SHOULD AGREE WHICH TEE TO USE IN THE INTEREST OF “SPORTSMANSHIP” AND “FAIRNESS”.

                  ON THE GREEN: AVOID MARKING BALL & JUST CONTINUE PUTTING TO HOLE OUT, WHEN ALL ON GREEN.

                  SCORING: (1) YOUR NAME ON CARD, (2) DATE PLAYED ON CARD, (3) IN CASE OF MAKE_UPS< DATE SCORE REPRESENTS ON CARD,

                                      AND (4) FILL IN ALL ( SCORES and TOTAL.  FURTHER, COUNT ALL SWING ATTEMPTS TO HIT BALL (EVEN WHIFFS!) 

                                      GOLF HONOR SYSTEM!!!

                    “MATCH SCORING”: EACH HOLE > MARK (+) FOR WIN, (-) FOR LOSS, (0) FOR TIE.

                  MARK TOTAL POINTS BELOW EACH PLAYERS NAME. BOTH “SIGN” AND TURN IN CARD!

                  TEAM SCORING: ALL POINTS COUNTED > TOTAL TEAM POINTS DETERMINES RANKING.

                 


FLIGHTS: EACH PLAYER IS ASSIGNED A “FLIGHT”(A,B,C,D) AS DETERMINED BY PREVIOUS YEAR SCORES.

TEAMS: EACH TEAM HAS 4 PLAYERS, ONE FROM EACH “FLIGHT”. SEE SEPARATE TEAM LIST IN SCHEDULE.

MATCHES: EACH PLAYER PLAYS OPPOSING TEAM PLAYER OF SAME “FLIGHT”

IF YOU CAN’T PLAY ON MONDAY, YOU CAN MAKE ARRANGEMENT WITH OPPONENT TO PLAY

ON A DATE, WITHIN 3-WEEKS BEFORE OR AFTER EVENT DATE AGREEABLE TO BOTH. DROP CARD IN

MON” BOX LOCATED IN PRO SHOP. LEAGUE SECRETARY WILL PICK UP PRIOR MONDAY MATCHES.

ALTERNATES: IF NO ALTERNATES ARE AVAILABLE. SHALL WE MAKE UP OR SCORE 0 FOR ABSENTEE?

DUMMY CARD”: IF NO OPPONENT AVAILABLE, PLAYER WILL PLAY A “DUMMY CARD” AS FOLLOWS:

A -FLIGHTS WILL USE 4 ON PAR THREES AND 5 ON PAR FOURS B- FLIGHTS WILLUSE 4 ON PAR THREES AND 6 ON PAR FOURS.

C- FLIGHTS WILL USE 5 ON PAR THREES AND 6 ON PAR FOURS.

D- FLIGHTS WILL USE 5 ON PAR THREES AND 7 ON PAR FOURS

OPPONENT MUST BEAT DUMMY SCORE TO WIN HOLE. EQUAL SCORE TIES.

HANDICAPS: PLAYERS HANDICAP WILL BE BASED ON LAST 4 SCORES FROM PREVIOUS HALF AND ALL SCORES OF PRESENT HALF - HANDICAP WILL

 BE: (AVERAGE SCORE MINUS 32) TIMES .8

"TIE SCORES" USE THE 4TH HOLE AS BREAKER IN THE EVENT OF TIES.

STROKES“: THE DIFFERENCE IN HANDICAPS WILL DETERMINE “STROKES” GIVEN DURING MATCHES.

THE “STROKES” WILL BE MARKED ( ) ON CARDS, BY HOLE, PRIOR TO WEEKLY MATCH.

PLAY GUIDELINES: SCORECARDS WILL BE PREPARED IN ADVANCE WITH NAMES AND “STROKES” FOR

EACH MATCH. WHEN BOTH OPPONENTS ARE AT COURSE THEY CAN EITHER PLAY ALONE

OR PREFERABLY JOIN OTHERS TO MAKE A “FOURSOME”. IN THE INTEREST OF KEEPING PLAY MOVING, PLAYERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF OTHERS ON

 THE COURSE AND LIMIT TIME SPENT LOOKING FOR BALLS, ETC!

ALLOW OTHERS TO “PLAY THROUGH” IF DELAY IS UNAVOIDABLE.

RAINOUTS: WILL BE CALLED ON THE COURSE BY RANKING OFFICER AVAILABLE. IF QUESTIONABLE

WEATHER, CALL ONE OF OFFICERS BEFORE LEAVING HOME.
